A (not so little) note about education and work in SimsVille

I used to have a very simple system about school and work in SimsVille, but in the last year I have changed a lot. Most of it is based on Carla's system for Sullivan, Since her system is closest to the things I want in SimsVille. Some of it I changed to fit for SimsVille, but other things are still the same.
So here it goes:

Education
All children in SimsVille, Simmeria and DimSimTown start school at the age of 4. They all attend school in SimsVille; SimsVille Up Hill Elementary School (ages 4 up to 10), and SimsVille High School (ages 11 up to 17).
When a sims turns 18, he/she has 2 options; 1) he/she can choose to set through with his/her education and get a higher degree at university, this also opens up more options for a career. 2) he/she can deside that they had enough with school and start a career (more on that later).

While elementary school and high school are free, university is not. To go to university a sims has to pay a tuition every semeste they attend university. This tuition is based on the number of scholarships a sims has earned (this is to push myself to let my sims study something before they actually need to).
Other hoods, like Sullivan, have a minimum of 4 scholarships, since this is all new to me, and I think it would be a huge task, I've set the minimum to 2 (this might change in the future).

So tution is as follows:

2 scholarships means §3000 tuitoin per semester
4 scholarships means §2000 tuition per semester
6 scholarships means §1000 tuition per semester
8 scholarship means that the sim will attend university for free
(I don't think I will get a sim with a free ride to university very soon, but just in case I have one with 8 scholarships, I got it covered)

University doesn't happen for every one, when there isn't enough money for example or not enough scholarships, or just the bad luck of being a townie. In SimsVille there still is an option; adult education.
Any sims without a degree can take a correspondence course with SimsVille University, for a tuition of §10000.
To complete this degree a sims has to write 14 term papers on 7 different subjects, in other words: 14 different articles on the 7 different skills, with Moniques computer.
Once those term paper are handed in, the sim will be seen as a university graduate and will be entitled to all the benefits of a university graduate.
(I use the lotdebugger to grand the sim a degree and upgrade the sim to university graduate)

Careers and majors
I don't know where Maxis got the idea that it was ok for a sim without a degree to become a doctor or a laywer, because that really isn't right, so in SimsVille I adjusted the terms for some careers, well to be honest it's the same as Sullivan's but like I said before, it fits best for SimsVille.

So for the sims who desided university wasn't for them, there are only limited options available since not every career is open for sims without a degree.
Here are the ones availbalbe for them and they are allowed to progress all the way to the top (custom careers are marked with an asterisk*): Adventurer, Artist, Athletic, Auto Mechanics*, Bartending*, Catering*,Cleaning*, Construction*, Convenience Store*, Criminal, Culinary, Dance, Entertainment, Events Planner*, Factory*, Fashion Design*, Figure Skater*, Fire Service*, Gamer, Gardening*, Hairdresser*, Law Enforcement, Modeling*, Military, Music, Paranormal, Pest Control*, Photography*, Pizza Delivery*, Post Office*, Repair*, Show Business, Slacker, Taxi Driving*, Writing*.
